- Lisa Ann Walter says Bravo reached out to her five times, inviting her to join “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
- Those comments surfaced just as chatter about “RHOBH” casting choices and questions over authenticity started swirling at the tail end of Season 15.
- Walter is still attached to ABC’s “Abbott Elementary,” now headed into its sixth season after a renewal.
Lisa Ann Walter has refused offers to join “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” not once, but five separate times, for now shutting the door on swapping ABC’s scripted lineup for Bravo’s glitzy reality juggernaut. The “Abbott Elementary” star shared the story in a Betches video posted to Instagram this week, E! News reported. E! Online
Timing matters here. “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”—RHOBH for short—just wrapped Season 15, which filled Bravo’s official site with reunion moments and post-finale drama from the cast. At this point, talk about the show has spilled over, catching attention outside the usual RHOBH orbit. Bravo
Walter isn’t chasing the spotlight here. Back in March, ABC confirmed “Abbott Elementary” will be back for Season 6, and Walter remains on the roster alongside Quinta Brunson, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tyler James Williams, and the rest of the cast. ABC Audio Digital Syndication
Walter, 62, shot down the offer, saying it clashed with both her personal life and her take on the show. “The only thing I’ve got is real,” she told Just Jared, pointing out she owns no Beverly Hills house and isn’t a wife. Just Jared
She shot down any suggestion that the cast could skip the fighting. EntertainmentNow quoted Walter, who recalled being assured “the girls don’t have to fight”—despite that, she declined. Walter also made clear she didn’t mind if people liked that kind of show. EntertainmentNow
Walter downplayed any criticism of Bravo, describing her choice as more about personal boundaries. She admitted she barely followed the franchise—aside from catching Teresa Giudice’s infamous table-flip—and said she’s not interested in putting a spotlight on women arguing with each other.
The Beverly Hills lineup is right there on Bravo’s site: Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne are both back, while Rachel Zoe is on board for Season 15. It’s a blend of the show’s established faces and some fresh celebrity cachet.
Walter isn’t alone in shutting down talk of joining the Beverly Hills cast. Last week, LeAnn Rimes made it clear: “no housewives for me.” She pointed to the drama on ABC’s “9-1-1: Nashville” as more than enough, according to People. People
Other actors are taking notice, too. On Wednesday, Entertainment Weekly said Lisa Kudrow pressed Andy Cohen during “Watch What Happens Live” about what she believed was a misleading “RHOBH” van scene edit. Cohen, for his part, dismissed it, saying the clip wasn’t a “smoking gun.” Ew
One thing Walter left out: she didn’t specify the timing of those five approaches, nor did she mention if a formal contract ever landed in front of her. And it’s unclear if Bravo is currently trying to cast her. The network hasn’t outlined any plans for future seasons in its public materials for Season 15.
Bravo’s still got a magnet for actors who make their living outside reality TV; the episode makes that clear. Walter’s take was more straightforward. For her, joining would mean airing her private life—exactly the kind of friction-heavy setup she’s not interested in. That’s not the show she wants, she says.
